Today I went out with my pal J for her birthday jaunt. We visited The Watts Gallery which is about seven miles away in a pretty little village called Compton. One of those places that you never go to even though you see the sign for years.
G F Watts was a prominent Victorian artist and his wife was a potter. They were very much of the Arts & Crafts style. His wife Mary designed a stunning chapel for the village cemetary. It is so different from anything I've ever seen in England before.
UK readers might recognise it from the Griff Rhys-Jones programme Restoration Village last year.
